曇り。朝家事は特になし。細君は生協に行き、帰ってきて亀有生協が開店55周年のイベントの準備をしていたという。55年前のことを思い出してみるが、隣町で実に嫌な中学生生活していたころで生まれて来なければよかったと思い、『河童』に共感していた頃だ。

昼飯には、今朝生協で買ってきたシャイン・マスカットが三粒ついた。「美味しいでしょ？高かったのよ！」を数回聞かされる。昼食後、一息入れて、散歩。先ず図書館で昨日借りた『角川俳句』を返却し、選挙のときにしか入れない亀中を裏門から正門に抜けて、蓮光寺通りをお稲荷さんに向かう。コンちゃんの出迎えを受けたが、今日は態度が曖昧で様子見。祠でお参りしているとやって来たが、スナック会場には入らずに祭壇脇で身繕いをしている。要らないのね？と念押ししたらスナック会場の白枠に入って正座した。無駄になってもいいやと思ってマグロ風味を開封し鼻先に出したら舐め始めて完食したが勢いはなかった。お腹が空くのは30分から1時間後なのだ。2時過ぎに散歩に出て反時計回りで、コースの最後に到着するのが彼女の腹具合には丁度合うようだ。で、コンちゃんのところからワカちゃんのところへ回るが不在でした。ワカちゃんには早い時間の方が逢えるようだ。で、最後にクロちゃんを訪ねた。階段の上から駆け下りてきて足に纏わりつく。カツオ風味を完食。食後は距離を置いて身繕いをするのがいつものクロちゃんなのだが今日は縄張りぎりぎりの所まで見送ってくれた。
そこから生協に入り、シャイン・マスカットを検分し、マグロ風味を買い、そのあとメンチを仕入れてベンチで野点。
帰宅して、洗濯物を取り込み、蓮根と鶏の炒め物を作る。その後洗濯。
落着いたところで、亀中正面玄関の上に掲げられている標語の向かって左の『煌竹亀中』の意味が判らず気になっていたので調べてみた。

So can you trust the food on your plates these days? Well, Interpol, the International Criminal Police Organization, announced last month that it had seized thousands of tonnes of fake food in a joint operation with its colleagues at Europol. The seizures happened in 47 countries in just two months alone, January 2015 and December 2014. European snap shots, Italian officials seized 31 tonnes of seafood being sold as fresh, but which had been frozen. It had been ??????????(1)?????????? hydrogen peroxide to make the catches appear freshly caught. In Egypt, the authority seized 35 tonnes of fake butter. They also dismantled the factory producing fake cheese. In Uganda, police seized bottles of fake whisky. The list goes on and on. All that after Europe's horse meat fraud in 2013, which sold cheap horse meat to disguise that expensive beef sold to consumers, and this week a slaughterhouse boss became the first person in the UK to be sentenced in connection with that scandal. But if no one dies and no one falls ill, why this fraud matters so much. Michael Walker, formerly food forensic expert for UK government explains.

People don't like to be cheated. We suddenly find out that we want to sure about security of food chain. We ??????????(1)?????????? something else. There was no ready explanation why this had happened and people in the ?????(2)????? generally we were for a long time puzzled about what go on, who was responsible for and why wasn't it spotted, why wasn't it stopped? So this sort of thing raised the tide from time to time. Eliott Report shows, I think that, unless we actively look for it, it may will be going on under the radar.
