Customs used to permit exhibition of foreign goods (not-yet-cleared goods) at customs display area and it didn’t allow presentation of the goods to prospective customers and buyers in customs warehouse. The revision makes it possible in a warehouse with conditions. Contact customs first when you are going to use new arrangements.

CTB announces the safeguard items clearance volume reports by the end of October
The volume of imported safeguarded items or Tariff Quota items, have been monitored and the figures have been shared at the Safeguard portal. The portal provides the cleared amounts out of allocated amounts by respective EPSs and by the items at the end of previous month.

Japan Tariff Association seeks traders’ opinions on EPAs
The association invites trade related entities’ opinions on the EPAs and prepared the inquiry form. The association does not limit the responders to its members. However the inquiry is in Japanese. The reply is to be fed by Dec.28.

MLIT released real-estate price index for August 2020
MLIT collected real-estate price data for the month and released the analysis results based on IMF models of which baseline index is 100 in the year of 2010.
And respective figures are:
